Halloween Festivities
We are excited to celebrate Halloween on Monday, October 31. We will be parading for families and friends outside the building. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and remember to dress for the weather.
Students will begin parading through the school at 9:00 a.m., then walk out the south doors and around the perimeter of the playground. We anticipate being outside around 9:10 a.m. After parading outside, our students will parade inside the school one more time. Our main office doors will be locked until the parade is over. Any wonderful volunteers helping with class activities need to bring photo ID and check in at the main office.
Please remember the following when deciding on a costume:
- Costumes must be school appropriate.
- Costumes should not interfere with learning.
- Eyes should remain uncovered (no full face masks or eye masks)
- Dress in something that is comfortable to sit in all day at a desk.
- Wear something that allows for movement in the classroom and hallways and at recess.
- Costumes may not include accessories/props that look like a weapon or could be used as a weapon.
Thank you for helping everyone to have a fun and safe day.
Visitors and Volunteers
For the safety of our Eastwood students and staff, all but one exterior door will be locked each day. Please use this door at the main entrance and check in at the office. All visitors and volunteers wishing to enter the school, beyond the office, will be asked to provide a photo ID. Office staff will run an instantaneous background check and, once cleared, provide visitors and volunteers with a badge so everyone is easily identifiable in the building. Thank you for your patience and for following these protocols to help keep Eastwood secure.
