- End of Year Assessments
- Our students have been working hard this year and making incredible progress. We are excited to have them show what they have learned. Students will begin taking end-of-year-assessments as early as next week.
- Third, fourth, and fifth grade students will participate in RISE (Readiness, Improvement, Success, Empowerment). This is the same summative assessment as last year.
- RISE is an item-adaptive test; if students answer questions correctly, the test becomes more difficult and if students answer questions incorrectly, the test becomes easier. RISE has depth of knowledge questions which require students to respond with written answers as opposed to only answering via multiple choice.
- Classes will continue to spend time preparing for this format so students are familiar with the line of questioning and utilizing the tools.
- Kindergarten students will demonstrate their knowledge during the KEEP Assessment. Families will make an appointment to have their child meet individually with Mrs. Downing or Ms. Peterson May 17 – 19. Remember, there will not be kindergarten classes on May 17, 18 or 19.
- All students will take their final Acadience Reading and Acadience Math assessments.
- Third, fourth, and fifth grade students will participate in RISE (Readiness, Improvement, Success, Empowerment). This is the same summative assessment as last year.
- Help your children do their best by bringing them to school on time each day. Make sure they are rested and eat a healthy breakfast.
- While the assessment results are very important, they are only one measure of how our students are progressing. Our school works extremely hard at keeping up with the current educational trends so our students will be prepared for advanced levels of learning.

- Thank You
- Eastwood is an incredible school! Students brought in 1,303 boxes of cereal to give to other students in Granite School District through the Granite Education Foundation. Friends and families joined us for our annual Art Night last Thursday to celebrate our students’ creativity and learn more about the Native Tribes of Utah. These activities are possible because of the time you share and donations you make. Thank you for all you do to support Eastwood!
