There are School Community Council openings for the next school year.
Members of this council decide how to spend LAND Trust funds to help
students improve.
Elections will be held on September 28th and 29th during SEP
conferences. There are two openings that must be filled: a parent or
guardian chair and a vice-chair. All parents are welcome to become a
member of this council, as long as their child attends this school. Visit www.schoollandtrust.org for more information.
You will receive email and U.S. Mail confirmation that your application has been received.
Notification of selection by lottery will be made on or before May 11, 2015.
If selected, return Parent Commitment Form by May 22, 2015.
The Dual Language Immersion program is for all students, regardless of language ability. Children do not need to have previous experience with English or Spanish to participate.
The Student Council is sponsoring Cougar Kindness Week this week (Apr. 13th – Apr. 17th) – a week of activities to promote kindness. This is the week before testing begins. Here are the daily activities:
Monday – theme: We are Family and we will look out for each other. Students and staff will be invited to sign a pledge banner at lunch recess and will then be given a wrist band.
Tuesday – theme: We are Family and we will not sleep until everyone feels welcome here. St…udents and staff may wear appropriate pajamas to school.
Wednesday – theme: We are Family and it doesn’t matter what you wear. Students and staff may wear crazy hats. We will also be having an assembly which is a follow-up to “Don’t Stand by, Be an Ally” which Is called “What Can You Do”. The time for the assembly is 11:15 – 11:45 for the 4th – 6th grades and 1:00 – 1:30 for the K—3rd grades.
Thursday – theme: We are Family and we are on the same team. Students and staff may wear their favorite team jersey.
Friday – theme: We are Family and we stand together. Students and staff may wear school colors.
