Congratulations to the debate team on their success this weekend at their Regional debate meet. Kearns placed 1st in three of the eight events and the entire team qualified for state. Individual winners include:
Hayden Turnbow – 1st in Foreign Extemp
Brandon McCarthy – 1st in Impromptu Speaking
Jesse Vega and Samuel Jeffries – 1st in Public Forum Debate
Gabriel De La Espriella – 2nd in Foreign Extemp
Jorge Cabella – 3rd in Impromptu Speaking
Paige Anderson – 3rd in National Extemp
Nolan Van Dyke, Jaycee Poindexter, Alex Bolles, Dixie Poindexter, Alexis Gomez, Haley Earl and Shaylee Clawson all won 4th and 5th place medals.
