Registration

Registration Information/Información de Inscripción

Welcome to Kearns High.  We will continue to have an online registration process. Parents will be registering their student(s) by ONLINE PROCESS ONLY through the Granite District homepage. Please go to the Portal and either log in or create a parent portal account.

  • Online registration will begin Monday, July 25.  All returning students and incoming freshmen must register by the legal guardian through the portal.
  • Once you have logged into your parent portal account, go to the District Resources Link, then click on the Registration Link to complete your 2022-2023 registration and pay of basic school fees of $65.00. You should receive a copy of your student’s schedule within 48 hours after registering. Class fees will be added to your student’s account after class changes are made. If you need assistance, please call 385-646-5381.
  • Student registration for the 2022-23 school year requires online internet access. If you do not have internet access, three sessions will be held at the school on August 8th and 9th during the times of 8:00-11:00 a.m., 12:00-2:00 p.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Those applying for fee waiver will fill out the form ONLINE and will need to provide 2021 Tax Returns, OR (recent job loss verification, three recent check stubs, or TANF with current dates). Fee waivers must be applied for within 30 days of the student’s registration date and applied for every school year. If you have submitted a Fee Waiver Application and do not receive a school letter within two weeks, please contact our bookkeepers. Erin Winkler at 385-646-6609 or Julie Shorts at 385-646-6619. Each individual student will need to be approved.
  • Parking Permits are $10.00 and will be issued only to 11th and 12th grade students due to the lack of parking.  See bookkeepers for parking form.  Cars without decals will be ticketed.
  • Free and reduced lunch applications can be found at www.myschoolapps.com  Only one application is needed per household.
  • Other school information regarding yearbook purchasing, attendance/truancy policies, school picture dates, counseling center, and counselor assignments by alphabet, bell schedules, lunch schedule, and other school information can be found on our Kearns High website at http://schools.graniteschools.org/kearnshigh
  • Because of District trainings, no registration will take place on August 2nd, 3rd, or 11th.
  • August 17th is our 9th Grade Orientation.  It will start at 8:00 a.m. (doors will be open at 7:30 a.m.)
  • August 18th is the first day of school and will begin at 7:30 a.m. GTI busses will leave at 7:00 a.m. from the North parking lot. All GTI fees will be paid at their facility.

Granite District has an online program for students who require an alternative to face‐to‐ face learning.  Important information about Granite Online Live can be found at https://www.graniteschools.org/graniteonline/ . Courses that meet graduation requirements are available in both live virtual sessions and self‐paced independent study courses.

Any Kearns High student or parent/guardian interested in Granite Online Live must fill out an application found on the above web site.

El Proceso de Inscribir a los Alumnos

TODOS los padres necesitan creer una cuenta en el Portal del Distrito de Granite

Con el Portal, los padres pueden inscribir a los alumnos, seguir su progreso escolar, averiguar asistencia, pagar pagos escolares ¡y mucho más! Necesitan Ustedes una dirección de correo electrónico activo.

Para inscribir:

  • Vaya a Portal y cree o abra su cuenta de Portal para padres.
  • Haga clic en el enlace “Registro.”
  • Agregue toda la información necesaria.
  • Pague los pagos escolares (los básicos son $65).

Después de terminar el registro, los alumnos van a recibir sus horarios entre 48 horas.

Otra Información Importante

  • Exención de pagos: los padres pueden agregarlo EN LÍNEA con (UNO de los siguientes): 1) impuestos de 2021; o 2) verificación de pérdida de empleo reciente; o

3) tres talones de pago del trabajo; o 4) TANF con fechas actuales.
