UPDATE-3/15/2020
Afternoon KHS Family! As promised, here is an update. (Some items repeated due to their importance!)
- On Monday & Tuesday our building WILL ONLY be open for students and parents to pick up the “Grab & Go” during our normal mealtimes. (See are website for more info regarding our meal service.) Teachers, counselors, administrators, and other staff members will be busy preparing for Wednesday.
- We want to limit exposure risk for all members of the KHS Community, so access to our building will be very limited.
- Please refer to earlier postings for times of Meal pickups. Students can pickup meals for other GSD Students in their family. Parents can pickup meals for all of their GSD Students at one location. To pickup a meal, you must have a Student Pin #. (Parents, if you are picking up you student’s meal please ask them for their Pin #.
- Admin and staff will answer inquiries by phone & email. Please be patient with us! Email is the preferred way – All our email addresses are available via our KHS webpage.
- Please remember that MEALS are NOT to be consumed anywhere in the school building or on school grounds. Staff members will limit pickup lines in the cafeteria to keep under the 100-person threshold.
- Tomorrow we will post more info regarding the on-line experience program starting Wednesday. (This posting will include info for those who need packets.)
- Credit Recovery will be suspended through this early dismissal. We know that this may have a major effect for seniors making up graduation requirements. We will work with each senior to ensure that they have all the opportunities needed to graduate.
- ALL ACTIVITIES, RENTALS, & EXTRACURRICULAR PRACTICES/REHEARSALS ARE CANCELLED DURING THIS TIME. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS! THIS MEANS EVERYTHING!
- QUESTIONS? Please email your student’s teacher as needed. For non-instructional questions/concerns – email your student’s grade level administrator, the appropriate staff member, or your student’s counselor. Please continue to check our website & the GSD website for the most current & accurate school related information. (Remember, email addresses can be found on our KHS website.) GRADUATION – We are still planning on a May graduation!
- LAST ITEM – We care about our students and want them to learn and succeed, even/especially during this period. We will work with parents and students to provide the best possible educational experience under these unique conditions. We also want our KHS Community and our own families to be safe. The goal of this “dismissal” is to limit physical contact & exposure for all of us and those we love. We all need to be patient with each other & ourselves. Your questions and concerns are appreciated. We review all of them even if we can’t answer each one individually! We can do this because we are KHS!
