National Honor Society service theme for the month of November was serving older relatives/neighbors. Students modified the theme to best fit their circumstances. Here are some highlights from their service projects.
“I made cards for all of my teachers.”
“I salted the sidewalks of the neighborhood after the big snowstorm.”
“My sister and I raked leaves for a long time at my grandparents house.”
“I helped one of my friends with his AP HUG work.”
“I talked to and learned about a lot of new and cool things about my neighbor two houses down that I never knew before. It was really cool to see the people who I live so close with and find out more about them.”
“I have experienced the beauty that lives outside if we just take the time to look around and clean up what is hiding it.”
Way to go! Your service makes a difference in the lives of those around you.
