January is the month where we are focusing on college applications and scholarships! Many schools’ scholarship applications are due February 1st, which means we need to get all graduating students ready for their future!
Steps to do now:
1. Apply for College Applications
2. Apply for FAFSA
!Note! We have a Virtual FAFSA this week on Friday, January 8th at 1 PM to 3 PM. Join us over Zoom http://collegekearns.weebly.com/
3. Find up to 5 teachers, educators, and/or trusting adults other than family, to write you a letter of recommendation. To request one, please check out the document here: https://laschools.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Letter-of-Recommendation-Checklist.pdf
!Tip! Ask for a letter of recommendation at least 3 weeks before the deadline so your recommenders have time to write you one!
