Seniors, would you like to be recognized for your hard work in a specific area. There are 21 different Area of Distinction: Art, Athletics, Business, Citizenship/Service, College Prep/Academics, Dance, Digital Media, Drama, English, Family & Consumer Sciences, Forensics, Health Sciences, Mathematics, Music, Publications, Science, Skilled and Technical Sciences, Social Studies, Technical Theatre, TV Broadcasting & Video Productions, and World Languages. Seniors may apply for as many areas of distinctions as the qualify for. The applications are available online on the counseling center website, department chair teachers classroom, counseling center, and career center. The English Area of Distinction application is due February 11th, and all other Area of Distinction application is due on February 19th.
The Diploma of Merit application is due on February 26th. For the diploma of merit, students will need to meet the minimum qualification of a 3.0 GPA, 3.0 CPA, a minimum of two areas of distinction, and other requirements..
