Dear Oakridge families,
Congratulations on completing the first week of school!
At the beginning of every school year, we find ourselves facing unique problems to solve and procedures to improve. That is the case this year more so than ever before! COVID-19 is forcing everyone to do things a bit different. Our Oakridge staff, especially our teachers, are working tirelessly to find creative quality ways to improve both modalities of learning while making each one more manageable. Every day, we strive to make the process a bit better and a little smoother. Thank you for working with us. We truly appreciate your patience and flexibility.
If you have not had the chance, please take a moment to review the Granite COVID-19 Parent Informational Packet. We hope it will address any questions you may have. More detailed information can be found in the State COVID-19 School Manual that can be found at https://coronavirus-download.utah.gov/School/COVID-19_School_Manual_FINAL.pdf
Additionally, please review the parent letter from Nutrition Services with their COVID-19 safety procedures. More information can also be found on their website https://www.graniteschools.org/NUTRITIONSERVICES/MEDIA-AND-PROGRAM-UPDATES/
Finally, we have two parent openings on our Oakridge Community Council for the 2020-2021 school year. We invite you to become involved by declaring your candidacy. Forms are due to Principal Drummond by 3 p.m. on September 8, 2020. Elections will be held September 16, 17, and 18.
You and your children make Oakridge an incredible school. We are fortunate to work with you and appreciate your support. Have a great second week of school.
Best,
Christine Drummond
Principal
