We hope you are doing well! As stated in an email from Granite School District, the Board of Education has voted to implement Distance Learning Days for next Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Therefore, we will need to distribute Chromebooks to all students tomorrow. We would like to have families pick up their assigned Chromebooks from 9:00 am-11:00 am tomorrow.
Parents or students may pick up the Chromebooks from their homeroom teacher by going directly to the classroom. Kindergarten students and parents will want to go to the Kindergarten doors to pick up a Chromebook.
If you are unable to pick up a Chromebook for your child tomorrow during these hours, the school will be open on Tuesday from 9:00-10:00 to distribute Chromebooks. If these days and times do not work for you, please contact your child’s teacher.
Here is a reminder of our Distance Learning Day expectations:
Students are expected to join their morning teacher’s Google Meet at 9:00 for attendance to be taken and directions to be given on morning assignments. Teachers may also direct students to join additional Google Meets to receive direct instruction during the day.
Students are expected to join their afternoon teacher’s Google meet again at 11:00. If students have only one teacher, they will join with that teacher again at 11:00 to review assignments for the remainder of the day.
The assignments given by teacher(s) each day should require 3 hours of time to complete. It is expected that students will complete all assignments as directed by their teacher.
Teachers will be accessible via email or Google Classroom from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm to answer questions and provide support.
