Our first meeting will be on Monday, September 9th from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. All students listed below can attend our first meeting. However, students with incomplete applications will not be assigned to a news crew until after their application is complete. They will be notified at their first meeting what documents they are missing.
Students will be placed on a news crew and will be assigned a certain number of weeks throughout the year to produce a Penn Station Episode with their crew. Each crew consists of the nine (9) students serving in the following roles:
- 2 Anchors
- 1 Director
- 2 Editors
- 2 Photojournalists
- 2 Reporters
It is anticipated that each crew will produce five to six episodes per year. We will begin creating news crews at our first meeting and assigning roles. After everyone has produced one episode we will have another whole-group meeting to create new teams and give students opportunities to try a new role. Students will only need to attend whole-group meetings about once every six weeks and meetings on the week their crew is producing a Penn Station News Episode. We will create a calendar and post it to this page and we will send out reminders at least one week in advance.
