Dearest Pleasant Green Families,
Please remember that 2nd Quarter Learning Options Form is due today, October 9th. We want to thank families that have already turned in to help us be prepared. As our numbers of face to face and distance learners change, we may need to change class configurations and placements. Therefore, it is very important that we get a solid understanding of our student numbers to plan for the entire 2nd Quarter. We need a response for every student even if you not changing your learning option.
While finishing the First Quarter, we have continued to refine our practices, teachers, students and families. Moving into 2nd Quarter, we want to remind you of the expectations of each modality. Face to face learners will continue with physical distancing, mask mandates, cleaning protocols, and agreement to come to school healthy. Distance learners will be supported in several ways, both asynchronous learning and synchronous learning with teachers and paras doing live instruction at determined times. Distance learning does require support from families, internet access, and pick up/dropping off materials as needed**. Please reach out to the office or teacher with specific questions.

Family Best Practices for Distance Learning
- Log in online or access your printed materials every day
- Contact your teacher with any questions you have
- Read directions carefully and discuss them with a family member to make sure you understand
- Keep assignments and tasks organized so you can easily access them or submit them
- Contact the teacher/school staff to answer questions about accessing materials, instructions for an assignment or technical problems with software or equipment
- For online learning, practice accessing online resources using the GSD Portal
- Set a schedule and space to help stay focused on learning and complete tasks
