PTA Fun

    Red Ribbon Week will kick off on Friday, October 24^th with our Fun Run. Please help your students dress appropriately for this activity and bring a water bottle. Parents can come cheer kids on if you’re interested.

    October 27th-31st will be our official Red Ribbon Week. We have wonderful activities every day, including dress up days and learning about keeping our bodies and minds happy and healthy. Our PTA is absolutely incredible for planning this event for us and scheduling all of our amazing lunchtime presenters. View the attached document to see what events are coming. 

3rd-5th Grade Gifted Testing

If your student is in 3rd-5th grade and you would like them to be gifted tested, please email Mrs. Black or your student’s teacher by October 31st to make a request. If you have other questions about what gifted testing entails or what gifted testing would mean for your student, please email Mrs. Black.

What’s Coming? 

• SCC meeting on Friday, October 24^th at 3:00 in the library. Not sure what SCC is? Visit this website
  • All patrons are invited to join us for each SCC meeting. Our past and current meeting agendas can be found on our Upland Terrace website under the Community drop down menu. 
• We will have a “secure” drill on October 23rd. We have let the students know that it will just be a drill and we do drills to make sure we’re prepared. We hope it is not causing students too much stress and that they understand the importance of why we have to do these every month. 
• Halloween Parade on October 31st starting around 9:20ish. Parents can come and watch as our cute students parade around the outside of the school. See the attached parade route so you know where you can stand. Please do not start parking in our parking lot until after 9:00 to ensure that all of our employees will have a space. Thank you!
  • Rules for costumes are just no masks or weapons. I do let the students wear their masks during the parade part of the day, and then they need to take them off after. I’m often asked about face paint, so I’ll address it here, face paint is allowed. 
• October 31st is an early out day at 1:40.
