Welcome to the Upland Terrace Library! This page will help you stay current on our library happenings throughout the year. My name is Andrea LeBaron and I’ve been the librarian at Upland since Fall 2017. I love kids and I love books, so this is the perfect job for me! I work to make our library an inviting, safe and interesting place to be. I believe there is a book for everyone and love helping your kids find their books.
This year, regular library time will begin the week of Aug. 21. Each class will be assigned a 30-minute time to come to the library, listen to a story, have individual quiet reading and check out books.
Each week I will post an update on what we are reading aloud in the library. I hope you will ask your kids about these books. You might even want to check them out at your community library. (They have multiple copies of Beehive Books and Battle of the Books.) I usually only have 1 copy of a book, although there are many popular books with 2 or more copies. At Upland, Kids can also put books on hold first come first serve, which helps them get the book much quicker. I try to get books out as quickly as possible so everyone has something they want to read. Here’s to a great year of enjoyable reading!
