October 14, 2019Library Happenings The Good Egg by Jory John is our read this short week in the library. This is a follow up book to John’s popular The Bad Seed, which we read last year. The good egg has been good for as long as he can remember. While the other eggs in his carton are kind of rotten, he always does the right, kind, and courteous thing. Until one day he decides that enough is enough! He begins to crack (quite literally) from the pressure of always having to be grade-A perfect. It isn’t until he sets out to put himself back together that he gathers the courage to be “not perfect.” This is a funny and gentle reminder that self-care and realistic expectations are healthy!
