February 18, 2020Library Happenings We are focusing this week on a wonderful Beehive book from the non-fiction category – Lovely Beasts: The Surprising Truth, by Kate Gardner. While there are many fierce creatures in the animal kingdom, each one has a creative, intelligent, even softer side we can learn about and appreciate. For example, while wolves are often portrayed as big, bad and scary, the reality is that they are highly social animals who play and hunt in tight-knit packs. Their howls are just their way of saying, “Hey, I’m over here!” Students are loving the beautiful illustrations and interesting facts about these “lovely beasts.”
