It’s been so great to see students in the library again! I don’t know if they can tell, but I have big smiles under my mask! I also know some of our students are distance learners and want you to know I haven’t forgotten you and hope you will check out our library happenings virtually from the school website.
We are talking about library changes this week, including: wearing masks, spacing ourselves in the library, only checking out 1 book this year, and the books going into “time out” or quarantine for 3 days after they are brought back. (Plus lots and lots of cleaning and sanitizing throughout the week!) All of these changes are being made so students can continue to enjoy the library while staying safe. I keep reminding myself and the students that this won’t last forever. We can make these changes if it means connecting kids with the books they love! Thanks for your support – I’m looking forward to a great year of reading in the library!
