To celebrate Earth Day on Friday, April 22, we are reading this adorable book Milk and Juice: A recycling Romance by Meredith Crandall Brown. “Once upon a time, in a refrigerator not too far away, a jug of milk and a bottle of juice fell in love.” But one day, juice was taken away to be recycled. Can they ever find each other again? Both milk and juice go around the planet in many different recycled forms, always searching for each other. Then one day, the hand of fate brings them together in a clever and useful way. There is a great diagram at the end of the book to show how recycling works. This book is a new favorite!
