April 25, 2022Library Happenings This week we are celebrating National Poetry Month (April) by reading some of this wonderful book of poetry by Irene Latham and Charles Waters. This was one of our Beehive Book nominees this year as well. On each page there is a word, like “Ally,” “Belonging,” “Team,” “Nature.” For each word, there is a poem, a quote from an inspiring person, a personal anecdote from the authors, and a “try it” prompt for an activity. With the vibrant illustrations from Mehrdokht Amini, this book is a unique way to celebrate diversity and learn more about how we can each help to create a better world. “If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.” (Mother Teresa)
