Updates from Upland

Hello!

Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers, our amazing PTA, and everyone who walked to school on Ruby Bridges day. We finished kindness week last week and it was an excellent reminder to all about how to lift others up and spread kindness all around. Check out our social media for some adorable pictures and videos from the event.

4th and 5th Grade Parents

If your student is free on December 5th from 2:00-4:00pm, we’d love to have their help! Please click on this link to sign your student up for our prospective student open house we will be having at this time. There are different volunteer opportunities for your student so discuss with them where they’d feel most comfortable and sign them up to volunteer. We’d extra love it if our leadership team members and our safety patrol students were a part of this. You do not need to attend this with your child as they will be given guidance from Ms. Anderson. They just need a ride home at 4:00. Thank you!

Upland Promotional Video

With all the boundary study uncertainty, we are working hard to recruit more students for Upland Terrace. I have created a promotional video for our school, which can be viewed here. And we are also having an open house to encourage more students to enroll. The open house is only for prospective students to attend, but this is why I am asking for 4th and 5th grade volunteers.

Graduate of Granite Awards

Every month we focus on one of our Graduate of Granite Characteristics. These characteristics are the categories on your student’s report card for citizenship. For the month of October, we focused on resilience. I have attached a list of our resilience award winners in hopes that you will celebrate your student if they are on the list. Our focus for November is respect, and it fits perfectly with our kindness week efforts.

Spirit Night

We have a spirit night at Zupas on Thursday, November 20th from 4:00-9:00pm. Let the cashier know you are there for the fundraiser, and we will receive a portion of their profits. Your student has a note with more information, or you can view the attachment.

Upcoming dates to know:

November 25th: Early release day at 1:40

November 26th-28th: No School
