There was a mistake on the October calendar I sent home last week. I have fixed it and the attached calendar is now correct. Fall Break for students is October 15th-20th. The last day of the first quarter is October 14th, and that is an early release day. Students return to start the second quarter on October 21st. First quarter report cards will be available to view in your FOCUS parent portal starting on October 21st. We will not be sending physical report cards home.
Orchestra at Upland is starting! You can still register your student by viewing the attached flyer.
Save the date for Skyline Network Night on October 22nd from 5:30-7:30. View the attached flyer for more information. If your student is in our school’s musical, they will be performing at our Network Night (schedule to come).
3rd-5th grade parents, the time is coming for gifted testing. If you would like your student gifted tested, please email Ms. Anderson at Lmanderson@graniteschools.org and let me know. I will get them added to our testing list and students will take their tests on November 2nd and 3rd. If you have a 5th grader and want them in gifted classes in junior high, you need to gifted test them this year.
PTA Information
-The PTA Newsletter went home with students this week. Check their backpacks!
-This month’s general PTA meeting is on October 8th at 9:30 in the PTA room
-All students, not just ones in the musical, can participate in the art contest for the musical. Notes about it went home and artwork is due on October 5th.
-Reflections projects are due on October 9th.
