Dear Parents and Students:
YEAR END–RISE TESTING
The year-end state RISE assessments will be administered on May 10, 12, 17. The whole school will be assessed all at one time from 8-11am with a snack break. We want all students to be assessed including current Distance Learners. By having all our students test, we will have a better understanding of how we need to adjust instruction and intervention for students next school year. We use the data from these state assessments to make goals and determine funding in the school. Your student’s best participation and effort is greatly appreciated. Please remember to eat a good breakfast (we will provide a light breakfast if wanted 7:15-7:35am), charge your Chromebook and bring a pair of headphones if you have them.
CEREAL FOOD DRIVE
The SBOs are currently conducting a food drive collecting boxes and bags of cereal for the food bank. When your student donates, have them place it in their grade level bin in the front office. There are prizes for the grade that had the most cereal donated!
YEARBOOKS AND OUTSTANDING BALANCES DUE
If you would like to order your student a yearbook please get those orders in ASAP. Also, yearbooks can’t be picked up if your student has an outstanding balance on their account. Please take care of those balances well in advance of yearbook day (June 1) to avoid your student having to stand in a very long line to pay fees. If you are unsure if you have already ordered a yearbook or would like to pay off your students balance over the phone, please email caflanagan@graniteschools.org or call 385-646-3701.
