Dear Parents and Students:
SCHOOL COMMUNITY COUNCIL ELECTIONS:
We are currently accepting Declaration of Candidacy forms for our School Community Council. We have 4 open positions this year. We would love for you to get involved. The attachment is the Declaration of Candidacy form. The due date is September 2th by 3:00pm. The role of the Council is to appropriate Land Trust Funds, assist with the school improvement plan and many other vital issues. We meet on the first Thursday of each month at 6:45am for an hour. Please come get involved in an important aspect of Wasatch Jr. High.
Drop off/Pick up Simulation Video
In an attempt to help ease traffic issues and incorporating buses into the mix, we have created a video to help educate parents, students and staff. Please watch this video on our YouTube channel. Administration and police will be out helping to direct traffic the first few days, but we could use your help in slowing down, being watchful, safe and considerate of others. Remember we are trying to have 3100 east be a one way street (going north to south) during drop off and pick up times. This will help with safety and efficiency.
WASATCH SCHOOL MUSICAL TRYOUTs
Matilda Jr. is this year’s musical- we are so excited because this is a fun, yet challenging musical and we know your students are up to the task! Auditions are on Aug. 23 & 24 after school. Get information from Ms. Dallimore in room 110. The performances are Dec. 8-10, 2022. Please go to our fine arts website https://wjhtheatre.weebly.com/ for information on what your student will need to do to prepare. Thank you for the continued support of the arts and see your students at auditions!
