Dear Parents and Students:
OPEN ENROLLMENT
The Open Enrollment window will open on Nov. 15 @ 8am till Feb. 3 @ 3pm. The process for this is moving to on-line. Due to possible confusion, this year we will be accepting both paper and digital versions of the Open Enrollment form. We will have paper forms available in the front office and digitally here: https://www.graniteschools.org/psp/open-enrollment/ (This link will be activated on 8am on Nov. 15)
For more information, please see our website: https://schools.graniteschools.org/wasatchjr/registration/
Please let your friends and neighbors know as this date has changed and we would love to have more of your friends and neighbors come to our school next year. Remember that if you have an 8th grade student on an open enrollment permit, you will need to apply again for Skyline High School.
BADMINTION INTRAMURALS
Starting this Friday, November 11, Wasatch will be offering badminton in the gym every Friday from 7:00 am to 7:30 am. We will teach the basics of badminton and have the chance to play several games each week. If you have any questions, see Coach Niederhauser.
MUSICAL INFORMATION
There is a change for our musical workday tomorrow, Sat. Nov. 12. The time is now 9am-1pm and clean up and be out the door by 2pm. Please wear your grubbies because we need to finish quite a bit of set painting, or you can help Ms. Thompson in the science lab iron decals on T-shirts. We are still in need of a few volunteers for various positions like ticket sales, dressing room help, and lobby décor. BIRTHDAY LUNCH
Happy birthday to the students and faculty whose birthdays are in November! Celebrate by getting a slice of pizza during lunch on Thursday, November 17th.
ALL 8TH GRADE PARENTS – Time for a CCR Plan meeting!
Before the CCR Plan meeting, students and their parents/guardians need to go through the College and Career Readiness (CCR) Plan presentation. This includes important information for high school and will prepare you for the CCR Plan meeting with your counselor. At the end of the presentation, you will sign up for an appointment to meet with your counselor. These meetings are required by the state for every 8th grader. To view the CCR Plan presentation, please visit the WJH Counseling Center website.
