Decker Lake Youth Center celebrated Black History Month with a variety of activities. Students researched and created presentations on prominent people in Black History and their contributions. These included posters, digital presentations, drawings, poetry, displays, and one even wrote a play and students re-enacted the historical event. The celebrations concluded with the traditional feast prepared by Redd, DLYC Staff, with many helping hands. They served catfish, fried chicken, mac & cheese, cornbread, rice, green cabbage and more!
