MISSION

YESS will provide a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment where youth, in the custody of the State of Utah, will develop academic, technological, and social skills in preparation for college and career/vocational readiness for an ever-changing 21st century work force.

BELIEFS

We believe every student has the potential to succeed. We understand the student’s ultimate future is in his/her hands, but the present is in our hands, and we will make this moment count by:

  1. Providing meaningful, challenging curriculum, and instruction that is relevant to college and vocational/career readiness
  2. Providing a safe, stable, and nurturing school environment
  3. Meeting every student’s individual academic, technological, and intellectual need based on his/her interests, abilities, and learning styles
  4. Building positive, respectful, supportive relationships to enable student’s ability to improve academically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually
