Decker Lake celebrated Black History month by researching leaders in the Civil Right Movement. They created a poster about their person then gave a speech as if they were that person in an assembly. They each worked hard and did a great job giving their speeches. There were also two musical numbers one was an original song written and performed by a student.
The highlight of each year is the food. Fried chicken and catfish, macaroni and cheese, collard green, red beans and rice. For dessert yummy peach cobbler, lemon cake, and german chocolate cake. Everyone enjoyed the meal. Thanks, Redd!
