Hello Bonneville Families!
My heart is so full! The start to this school year has been fantastic. These last three days have been filled with so much happiness, excitement, and new experiences. I know junior high can be tough at times, but what I am seeing from your students brings a smile to my face. We 100% appreciate your patience and understanding as we try to enroll new students, make adjustments to schedules, and get both students and teachers settled in their classes. The amount of work that factors into creating schedules is overwhelming and we all work very hard to try and meet the needs of our students.
Thank you for making these first days fun and exciting. We loved seeing our students and families taking pictures and celebrating the first day of school. Bonneville Junior High is a special place and we are so excited to begin a new year with our Viking Village. Remember, at Bonneville we “Believe in Academic Improvement, Building Community, and Lifelong Learning.” PLEASE join us this Wednesday, August 23rd from 5-7 PM for Back to School Night. This is “open house” style and we welcome all families.
I truly hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Panorama Survey 2023-2024
Dear Bonneville Families,
Students are important partners in our efforts to improve our communication, academic programs, and overall educational experience. In order to learn more about what our students need in order to thrive, we will be asking for your child’s feedback via an online survey given three times a year that will be completed at our school, the Panorama Survey. Your students’ feedback will provide valuable insight into their experiences and help our district adapt to meet their needs.
The survey will ask students to self-reflect on their social skills, dispositions, and emotions, as well as the support that they receive in and outside of the classroom. You can preview the survey content using the links below:
Skills and Dispositions: Grades 6-12
Supports and Environment: Grades 6-12
The survey will take no more than one class period to complete. If a student doesn’t feel like they have enough information to answer a question, or doesn’t wish to answer, they will be able to skip the item altogether. Educators who work with your child will be able to see their self-reported areas of strength and areas for growth. We are partnering with a third-party vendor to support us in administering these surveys.
If you do not want your child to participate, please notify the Principal, Jen Johnson jjohnson@graniteschools.org by Friday, September 1st. If you opted your student out last year, you will need to submit another opt out for the 2023-2024 school year. We thank you in advance. If you have any questions about the survey administration, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 385-646-5124.
