Hello Bonneville Families!
What a super fun and busy week. A HUGE thank you to our counseling team for all their work on College Week! I had so many great conversations this week with students about their aspirations for the future. It makes my heart so happy to hear our students talking about their goals and dreams.
I want to take a moment to recognize the outstanding work of our students during Quarter 1. On Thursday, we were able to celebrate our “Good Grades/No Tardy” Party with our PTA. Those students who achieved a 3.00 GPA or higher for Quarter 1 and/or no tardies were able to get a treat during Advisory. We had 310 students who earned a 3.00 or higher and 215 students with NO tardies! This is a huge accomplishment and we are so proud of our students and their hard work. Speaking of grades…for this quarter ONLY we will be printing report cards next week and handing them out to students. Given that we are working with a new information system this year with Focus, and we know parents cannot yet access the “report card” feature, we will be sending home report cards next week. Please check in with your students.
The congratulations continue for our MESA team! Last week, the Bonneville Junior High MESA team took 2nd place in the “Cleopatra’s Barge” competition against schools across the state. Way to go! We have so many great clubs and after school activities here at Bonneville. I encourage your students to get involved.
As a reminder, we do NOT wear costumes or dress up at the junior high level. Tuesday is Halloween and we ask for your support in helping students save their costumes for trick-or-treating.
I truly appreciate all the continued support we have at our school. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
