Hello Bonneville Families,
We are back in the full swing of things for the second half of the year. Counselors are still working on schedule changes, so please be patient. I want to take a minute and recognize the outstanding work of our students during Quarter 2. We celebrated our Good Grades/No Tardy party this week. We had 284 Vikings achieve a 3.00 GPA or higher, 214 Vikings with NO tardies, and 153 Vikings that achieved both a 3.00 GPA and NO tardies. This is incredible! We are so proud of all the hard work by our students. Also, a huge thank you to our PTA for bringing treats and recognizing this achievement. We also had 6 of our Bonneville students recognized at the Region 5 PTA Reflections Award Night. Three of our students, with a combined 4 entries, received awards of “Excellence” and will be moving onto the state level competition. Three additional students received a “Merit” award. Again, the outstanding talent and hard work of our Bonneville Vikings is commendable. Way to go!
The winter weather is definitely upon us. We realize that driving conditions and weather change often here in Utah. I promise I will communicate as quickly as possible when there are delayed starts or school closures. You can also check the Granite School District main website for up to date information about possible weather closures. Typically, these decisions are made in the early morning hours. If you feel weather conditions require you to keep your student home, we fully understand. We just ask you please call our Attendance Office to excuse these absences. Mrs. Erickson can be reached or a voicemail can be left at 385-646-5125.
Please remember there is NO SCHOOL Monday, January 15th. We will resume on Tuesday.
Enjoy the long weekend!

Parent Teacher Conferences
I will be sending more detailed information in the coming weeks about parent teacher conferences. Junior High conferences are scheduled for Monday/Tuesday February 5th/6th from 4-7 PM. After many discussions and feedback from multiple stakeholders, we have decided to bring back an “arena night” on Monday. All teachers will be set up in the gym and families are welcome to come and visit with every teacher without an appointment. On Tuesday, we will still schedule appointments (in-person and virtual) to accommodate those students that may need a little more private and extra time to discuss academic/behavior concerns and supports. We truly encourage you to only schedule appointments for high needs situations.
Yearbook Information
Please see the attached document for instructions on purchasing a yearbook. Yearbooks are available for purchase on the Focus Store. You can access the store through your parent Focus account. Find the Purchase & Pay option on the menu under your Bonneville student’s account and add it to your cart. You can always call Ms. Morales in the main office at 385-646-3108 for additional help.

Bonneville Goals for 2023-2024…just a Reminder!
Each year our school leadership team, community council, and administration work to articulate our school goals and focus. These goals help drive our professional development, what we focus on with our students, and how we spend allotted money. We have 3 goals for the 2023-2024 school year:
#1. Improve Reading Proficiency
#2. Improve Student Sense of Belonging
#3. Increase Faculty Peer Observations.
Please help to support and encourage these goals at home with your student. Your student’s success and happiness are extremely important to us and we will work diligently throughout the year to promote these goals.
