Hello Bonneville Families,
Please remember that we have NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Friday, February 9th. This is a comp day for Parent Teacher Conferences this week. We will welcome your students back on Monday! It was great to see so many families at conferences this week. We enjoyed the conversations and collaborations. Remember, you do not have to wait for a conference to reach out to a teacher. You are welcome to contact teachers or the school at any time with questions or concerns.
As we move toward the end of the school year, I would like to share this reminder. We all know that sometimes students need motivation to attend school. We absolutely want your children at school! However, we are here to learn and our teachers work very hard to provide learning opportunities for your students. We expect some behavior issues as this is junior high and part of the development. However, if your student is consistently impeding the learning of others and disrupting classes and school business, which includes tardies, skipping class, and inappropriate behavior in hallways, we will be reaching out to parents/guardians for a meeting and possible consequences. Please reinforce with your students that school is a place to learn and explore new opportunities. When your student becomes disruptive to the learning environment we must work together to find a solution. We expect your full support as parents in this endeavor.
Congratulations to our Lego League Team from Bonneville. They took 2nd place in the Innovation Project Award and will be advancing to the Championship Event! We are so proud of their hard work. We also wrapped up the National History Day Project this past week. Ten of our students will be moving on to district finals. Thank you to Mrs. Willis and all Social Studies teachers for their commitment to this project and the time they spent working with our students. There will be both girls and boys volleyball games this week on Monday and Wednesday. Games typically begin about 3:00 PM. Remember to show good sportsmanship at these events.
Have a wonderful long weekend and STAY SAFE!
