Hello Bonneville Families,
We have made it through another busy week at Bonneville Junior High. Remember that Quarter 3 ends March 14th. That is two more weeks to focus in and get everything completed for a successful quarter. Students will have NO SCHOOL on Friday, March 15th.
A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our Lego League Team for taking 3rd in the State with their Innovation Project. What an outstanding 1st year for our students and advisors, Mrs. Christiansen and Mrs. Leppard.
The following message is a reminder from Granite School District and Bonneville Junior High:
Multiple times per week, district administrators and law enforcement respond to incidents that are related to harmful student behaviors on social media. These behaviors range from cyberbullying to fake threats of violence to online scams. These incidents are unfortunate reminders that many of our students are unable to responsibly use social media. We respectfully request that if you are unable to monitor your child’s smartphone and social media use, that you restrict access to it. Schools and law enforcement do NOT have the ability to monitor thousands of student’s social media accounts. This is the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
The best security system we have continues to be the eyes and ears of our students who contact trusted adults when they see unsafe behavior or situations. Please remind your students that we need their help to keep our campus and community a safe place. They can anonymously report unsafe behavior using the SafeUT app on a mobile device or web or contact our police department at (801) 481-7122 to report issues. As always, they can reach out to a teacher or administrator for help with any concerns.
We truly appreciate your support in helping our students make safe and healthy choices. This takes the work of everyone.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Counselor Comments
Mental Health Week has wrapped up. We have had a great time having students practice different coping skills at lunch time. Ask your student about their favorite coping skills!
It is time to sign up for your 7th grade student’s annual College and Career Readiness Plan (CCRP) meeting with their school counselor. From March 7th through March 29th, we will meet with all 7th graders to check in about the S.E.A.S of junior high school-social life, emotional well-being, academics, and support. If you would like to attend this 20-minute meeting with your student, please use this link. Make sure to select your student’s school counselor. The appointment portal will close on Wednesday, March 6th. You can also call the Bonneville Counseling Center at 385.646.5126 to make an appointment. We will still meet with your student if you do not sign up for an appointment.
