Hello Bonneville Family,
Congratulations to our students, teachers, support staff, and parents for a fantastic first week of school! I’m especially proud of our newest Vikings, who have embraced the change with courage and enthusiasm. Here’s to a great year ahead!
Each week, I will be sending out an informational message to keep you updated and connected with our school community. These messages will include student celebrations, where we highlight the achievements and successes of our students, along with important details about upcoming events. Additionally, you will find links to our grade level newsletters, providing you with the latest news, updates, and resources tailored to each grade. I hope these weekly updates will help keep everyone informed and engaged throughout the school year.

Other Miscellaneous Items
School Bus Pass – please select here for more information
Locker – Would your student like a locker this year? Please submit your request by selecting here. Locker number and combination will be emailed to you within 48 hours. It is not necessary for students to have a locker.
Personal Electronic Device Policy – In accordance with the Granite School District’s personal electronic device policy, all personal electronic devices are not to be seen from the 1st bell to the last bell of the day. To ensure that we can fully focus on learning, personal electronic devices will not be allowed during the school day. We believe this policy will help create a more focused and productive environment for everyone. Students are not required to bring a personal electronic device to school and Bonneville Jr High is not liable for lost or stolen items. If you choose to bring a device to school, please keep it in your backpack or locker on silent. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Bonneville Jr High will allow students to use their personal electronic device during their lunch period in the cafeteria or courtyard. Once lunch has concluded, students are to place their device either in their locker or backpack on silent. Students who wear a smart watch can wear this device during the school day as long as it does not become a mode of communication.
Cell phones are not permitted in restrooms on campus. If policy is not followed, then students may have their phone turned into the main office and a parent may be required to pick up the phone.
As the principal of Bonneville Junior High, I firmly believe that all students have the ability to learn and grow. I also believe that the choices we make play a crucial role in determining our outcomes. We are dedicated to building healthy relationships within our school community and are deeply committed to fostering a culture of diversity, where every student is valued and supported.
I love ALL our Vikings!
