Hello Bonneville Family,
It’s been an exciting week at Bonneville as we tipped off the boys and girls basketball season! The energy and teamwork displayed by our students have been incredible. Please check the calendar below for upcoming games and join us in cheering on our Vikings as they represent our school with pride and determination. Go, Vikings!
A big thank-you to the members of our Community Council, who met this past Thursday for our monthly meeting. We had meaningful discussions about how we can continue to improve our services for our Gifted and Talented students, ensuring we meet the needs of current students and future Vikings. Your input and collaboration are vital as we plan for our students’ success.
This week, we also celebrated our incredible educator support staff. Our paraprofessionals are truly the backbone of our school, providing essential support to students and teachers alike. Bonneville is so fortunate to have such dedicated and skilled individuals making a difference every day.
As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to express how grateful and honored I am to be the principal of Bonneville Junior High School. This community has been wonderfully welcoming and supportive during this transitional period. I am deeply thankful for the trust you place in our amazing faculty and staff to provide a meaningful and enriching education for your children.
A quick reminder: Next week is a short week, with school in session only on Monday and Tuesday. After that, we’ll be on Thanksgiving break. Please note that there will be no newsletter next week, so this message covers November 25 through December 6.
Wishing you and your families a safe, joyful, and Happy Thanksgiving!
Mr./Señor Bailey

Personal Electronic Devices Policy
Starting Tuesday, October 15th, personal electronic devices will no longer be allowed during lunch periods. This aligns with the Granite School Board’s decision for all K-8 students, encouraging face-to-face social interaction (as referenced in The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt, Ch. 5). Devices should be out of sight either in backpacks, lockers or left at home. If a device is seen or heard, it will be taken and held in the main office until the end of the day. Multiple violations will require a parent/guardian to pick up the device. Bonneville Junior High is not liable for lost or stolen personal devices.
