SEP Conferences
SEP Conferences will be held on Monday, February 13th, and Tuesday, February 14th. Please sign up on the Fox Hills’ webpage by clicking the Online Scheduler icon on the left side of the page. The Online Scheduler will be open from: February 3rd-8th.
There will be no kindergarten on February 13 so teachers may schedule conferences during the day.
Also, please support our Book Fair during conferences. The Book Fair will be held on the stage. All the proceeds help us restock our library books.
Class Valentine’s Parties
Classroom Valentine’s parties will be on Tuesday, February 14th. Each classroom will give out individual details for their party. If you are willing to help with the party, please contact your child’s teacher.
Kindergarten Pre-Registration
Kindergarten pre-registration will begin February 7th. Please help us find any kindergartener who will attend Fox Hills next year. This will help us in planning for your students and our staffing needs.
Attendance: Everyday Counts
Fox Hills implemented a program a few years ago called Everyday Counts to encourage students to attend school. Our goal is to have 96% of our students at school for each month. We have met this goal once this year, but have had a rough time with the flu season. Hopefully that is behind us and we can reach our goal for the month of February because every day is a critical learning time for students.
National History Day
On Tuesday, February 21st, some of our upper grade classes have prepared projects for the school’s annual History Fair. Parents are invited to walk through the gym and view the exhibits from 6:00-7:00pm.
Principal’s Notes
On January 13th, while students were playing at home, teachers worked diligently to prepare grades and attend a training to improve students’ writing skills. We are working to improve our scores on the SAGE test in the spring. Some ways parents can help at home is for students to practice typing, (which I learned in high school) and writing daily in a journal. I have loved working with the teachers to help your children be successful in all areas of education. The teachers at Fox Hills are fantastic!
