PTA Fundraiser
The PTA met their goal of $20,000 for the fundraiser!!! Thank you to all who supported this fundraiser. The students have had many fun rewards, such as pajama day and crazy hair day, in conjunction with the fundraiser. The student body will look forward to a kick ball game at the end of the year with faculty vs sixth grade for reaching their goal. Thank you PTA for all the activities and support you give Fox Hills.
Performing Arts
We had a terrific month in March for the performing arts at Fox Hills. It started with the One Act Plays directed by Heather Creel and Mrs. Hatch. It was a delight to see these young students dressed up, memorize their lines, and present a wonderful performance. Broadway Kids was a hit as well directed by Mrs. Craven and Mrs. Wright. The audience enjoyed the professional singing and dancing by our most talented students. Our performing arts teachers do fantastic work to put on wonderful shows and spend many hours on behalf of Fox Hills students. Thank you to all the parents who helped with these performances and supported the shows.
Coming Soon: Multi Cultural/Art Night April 13th, from 6:00-8:00. We look forward to seeing you there!
SAGE Testing
Sage testing will officially begin on April 10th and ends on May 15th. Classes will have varying schedules for the dates they test during this time frame. Please look for notes and/or check planners for the dates your child/children will be testing. Please talk with your children about performing their personal best on these tests. Also, make sure everyone gets plenty of sleep and breakfast during the testing period. As you know, our scores are posted publically, and Fox Hills is always proud of our students and their performance.
End of Year
As we come to the last eight weeks of school, we want to keep our students focused and learning. As a staff we want to minimize behavior concerns, and focus on enjoying the last weeks we get to spend together with each other and your children. The end of the year can be a challenging time, particularly for students. When the sun shines, students become more active and excited for summer. Please talk with your children about being strong finishers, focusing on school, and enjoy being with their peers and teachers. We are implementing a school wide incentives as well as grade level incentives to help encourage students to avoid white slips and office referrals. We have many fantastic students who do a wonderful job following our Fox Focus and always obey the rules.
Principal’s Notes
This year has flown by unbelievably fast. I have truly enjoyed the relationships I have developed with you and your children. I have loved being the principal at Fox Hills and I thank you for making this a smooth transition. I have had a fun time with all the extra-curricular activities which Fox Hills offers. The teachers are incredible and we are all lucky to have been touched by their dedication, commitment, and talents. I hope we will remember for a lifetime the efforts the teachers at Fox Hills have given to help our children have more opportunities in their lives and to prepare them for a successful future.
