Mr. Moore

Background: Mr. Moore grew up in Utah and attended Hunter High School. He is married with two boys and two girls, Athen, Cohen, Camilla, and Isla. He played basketball in college, first at Snow College for two years and then transferred to a University in Georgia called Kennesaw State University. He enjoys spending time with his family when he is not at school. Mr. Moore loves anything outdoors: hiking, running, swimming, and biking. 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Communication, Kennesaw State University. Teaching license Special Education, Utah State University, Master of Education, Southern Utah University. 

Experience:  Before moving into administration, Mr. Moore was a special education teacher at Granger High School and loved every minute of it. He also spent a year and a half as an administrative intern at Granger. For the past five years, he’s been an assistant principal at Eastmont Middle School in Canyons School District and Kennedy Jr High in Granite School District.

Hobbies: Mr. Moore loves spending time at the beach. He tries to visit San Diego or Hawaii at least once every few years. That’s if they can find a reasonable plane ticket! His oldest son, Athen, was adopted and born in Hawaii, so it has a special place in his heart. Mr. Moore loves swimming and road biking.   

Fun/Embarrassing Facts: Living in a dry climate like Utah, Mr. Moore loves a good moisturizer! The attendance secretary at a previous school would order him hand lotion from Avon! It was a school-wide joke that all the teachers gave him a hard time about.
