When I’m not in my classroom, I’m out surfing on my dad’s boat or finding a way to run off to Disneyland.

In 2000 I moved to England in the Volunteer Exchange Program. I also worked in the main hotel kitchen as a chef in Bangkok, Thailand for 7 years and have also lived in China for 6 years with my husband. Purple is my favorite color and I like spicy food and cooking.

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and was raised in West Jordan.  I love hanging out with my husband, two children, and my English Golden Retriever.  I enjoy running (jogging), reading, and being around family and friends. I graduated from Westminster College in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree and went on to receive my Master’s Degree in Education from Utah State in 2007.  I continued my education and received my ESL Endorsement, Reading Level 1 and Level 2 Endorsements.  I began my career teaching in Granite School District at Farnsworth Elementary.  While at Farnsworth Elementary I taught 3rd grade for five years, 6th grade for a year, Kindergarten for a year, and was a reading specialist for five years.  I then came to Frost Elementary and taught second grade for 2 years and have since been a literacy coach. I really enjoy teaching and working with students.

I graduated from UBU and loved the mountains so much I had to say. I have two kids, Tripp and Tinslee, who I love to hike, explore, and watch movies with. My favorite subject growing up was math and history. I love working with students to help them want to learn new things and that making mistakes is okay as long as we keep trying.

I grew up in West Valley Utah and graduated from Weber State University in Elementary Education with a minor in physical education. I enjoy keeping the students physically fit and teaching them new games that they can play at recess or at home with friends. I enjoy working with kids and seeing them work together in teams or individually. I love seeing students try different things and realize they could do something they thought they couldn’t do in P.E. When I’m not at school I enjoy spending time with my husband and children, playing various sports, reading, dancing, hiking, and camping.

I stayed home with my two kids for several years before going back to college to finish my degrees. Before starting with Granite, I spent 5 years working with people experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake City. I love playing volleyball and paddleboarding in my free time.

After that, I started work at Hermosa Beach Elementary as a behavior aid and I loved it! So, for the next few years, I simultaneously worked on my Master of Science degree so I could work as a School Psychologist! I moved back to Utah in 2019 and started working for Granite School District. I love spending time with friends and family, crafts, shopping, kayaking, working with kids and camping!
