I grew up in Sandy and West Jordan Utah graduating from West Jordan High School. I have spent 10+ years working in early childhood development and am going back to school to get a teaching degree in special education. When not working, I enjoy reading, going to movies, acting, and singing.

Mrs. Buttars was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. She grew up and was raised in West Jordan, Utah. Mrs. Buttars loves hanging out with her husband, two children, and her English Golden Retriever. She enjoys running (jogging), reading, and being around family and friends.
Mrs. Buttars graduated from Westminster College in 2000 with her Bachelor’s degree. Later she went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Education from Utah State in 2007. She continued her schooling and received her ESL Endorsement, Reading Level 1 and Level 2 Endorsements. She began her career teaching in Granite School District at Farnsworth Elementary. While at Farnsworth Elementary she taught 3rd grade for five years, 6th grade for a year, Kindergarten for a year, and was a reading specialist for five years. For the past two years she has been at Frost Elementary teaching second grade. Mrs. Buttars really enjoys teaching and working with students.
