Welcome to our schools Community Council. Our purpose is to address the academic needs of students at the local level by evaluating and providing opportunities and programs for their benefit.
Meeting Schedule and Agenda
Community members are invited to attend council meetings, but are not voting members. If you have a concern for your Community Council, please reach out to one of the council members.

- Schedule: Meetings will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 4:00 PM in the library. The public is welcome to attend all meetings. Translation services will be provided upon request.

Council Members
Council Members are chosen by election and are a mixture of school staff and community members. Candidacy and election procedures begin before each school year.
Invitation to serve on the council: We warmly invite parents to serve on our school’s community council. Information about council vacancies, declarations of candidacy forms, and elections are emailed sent out in August of each year.

Serving on the Community Council allows parents to directly influence the way LAND Trust funds are used during the school year, which can include programs, materials, and other education-based solutions.

- Funds used for: We will hire an additional 0.5 classroom teacher to lower the student to teacher ratio. 2. We will hire two paraprofessionals for reading groups; they will work under the direction of the classroom teacher to provide targeted interventions to small groups of students in areas of reading and literacy specifically identified for each student as needing additional support. 3. We will purchase Waterford reading software or similar reading software to complement literacy instruction for students who've been identified as benefitting from additional support. 4. We will provide transportation to and admission fees for academic field trips supporting and encouraging student learning in the core standard areas of language arts, science and math.
