I have been a Speech Language Pathologist for 15 years. I did my undergraduate degree in psychology and then after working at the Children’s Center for a number of years found my true calling in speech pathology. I got my Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Utah. This will be my 11th year here at Truman. When I am not working I am generally spending time with my family. I have 3 amazing children, ages 7, 15, and almost 20. We love to travel and camp in our trailer. I am an avid reader and love to escape into a great book. I love working with children and can’t imagine doing anything else. Every day students make me smile with their energy and enthusiasm.

I love kids! I have been a school psychologist for Granite School District for over 15 years working with children with various neurological and cognitive disorders, as well as emotional and behavioral issues. I enjoy working with teachers, parents, and administrators to resolve problems, big and small. It is very rewarding to watch children change and grow and to be an integral part of that process.
When I’m not spending my time with the students here at Granite School District, you can find me hiking, reading books, or playing the X-box with my own three kiddos or snuggled in the papasan with the latest copy of the New Yorker.
Fine Arts Specialist
I am so happy to be a BTSALP Music Specialist in Granite School District. Before teaching Music, I taught third, fourth, and fifth grades. I grew up in Salt Lake and graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelors degree in Music. After teaching for a few years, I moved to San Francisco, where I attended cooking school. After training as a pastry chef, I worked in the restaurant industry. My husband and I returned to Salt Lake four years ago. We have three children, all of whom are in college.
