Hello everyone!
Happy Distance Learning Day! We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we switch to a safer schedule for the day. Along with academic activities, we hope families have some time for fun in all this snow!
Battle of the Books
If you are the parent of a 4th/5th Upland student and want to participate in a first-ever Battle of the Books parent team vs. teacher team friendly competition, please email Andrea LeBaron to let her know. (aflebaron@graniteschools.org) This will take place at the end of the school year and be a fun way to encourage your students to read with you!
Souper Bowl of Caring – thank you!
A big thank you to all who donated to our Souper Bowl of Caring! The upper grades were the winners, bringing in more donations than the lower grades. What a fun way to help families in need. We appreciate our PTA for organizing this activity for us!
Kindergarten
We are already making plans for the 2023-2024 school year! Pink kindergarten notes should be coming home with your child this week. If you have a child who will be age 5 on or before September 1, 2023, it is time to start the registration process for kindergarten. Fill out the pink form and return it to the office. We have plenty of extra pink forms for friends or neighbors you know who may need them.
We will have two open house events that families may choose to attend, scheduled for March 10 and March 16 from 2-4. Bring a smartphone for a “guided” tour of our school!
We are tentatively planning to have one full day and two half day kindergarten classes for next year. We cannot confirm classes until funding has been finalized, the legislative session is over, and the grant is awarded. As soon as we have session information, we will let parents know. We understand parents are anxious for this information, and we appreciate your patience!
