We are always excited to welcome parents into our school community! Parents are invited to volunteer in the classroom and join us on field trips throughout the year. Whenever you come to volunteer or visit, please check in at the office first. We will scan your ID and provide you with a visitor badge to wear while you are in the building.
To keep our students safe, parents who have completed the official Granite School District background check will receive priority when signing up for field trips. If you are interested in becoming an approved volunteer, please follow the information below. The Volunteer position is only posted at certain times during the year. If you do not see it listed, please contact the office at 385-646-5108 to find out when it will reopen.
Steps to become an approved volunteer:
- Visit the Granite School District Jobs website and complete the volunteer application.
- Look for Woodstock Elementary in the volunteer job listings.
- Select “Volunteer – School” from the category list on the left-hand side to locate the Woodstock Elementary posting.
- If the position is not visible, it is not currently posted.
Once the application window closes, our principal will extend an official offer of hire. After you are hired, you will schedule fingerprinting at the District Office. Please note that the fingerprinting fee is the responsibility of the applicant.
After your background check has been approved, your name will be placed on our pre-approved volunteer list.
Parents who have not completed a background check may still attend field trips with the following expectations:
- You will be assigned to work alongside a parent, teacher, or staff member who has completed a background check.
- You must always remain within sight of an approved adult.
- You may not enter restrooms with students. Students may go in groups of two or more while you wait outside.
- For trips that require smaller or more spread-out groups, teachers may limit the number of volunteers without background clearance.
Thank you for your willingness to support our students. We truly value your involvement and partnership!
