Students at DSI/Gemstone learn how to play the ukulele in their music class. They were excited to be able to attend the Ukuleles Orchestra of Great Britain concert at Kingsbury Hall .They enjoyed the concert and were excited to practice back in their music class.

End of term is time to recognize the hard work of students. At DSI/Gemstone they have an assembly were students and teachers show off the new talents they have learned during the quarter.
Stem cap at DSI/GEM
Stem cap presented a lesson on biodiversity at DSI/Gemstone. We had a marine biologist and an oceanographer help us understand how species live together. Taught us about sea monkeys and the Coral Reef. The students created their own Coral Reef.
Guitars
Our Transition classroom at Roosevelt Continuation School made guitars this last quarter. Students worked hard to design and build them and put it all together to make a beautiful sound. Finished products!!
