Welcome Back Vikings!
Here are the 3 easy steps to make sure you are prepared for the start of the new school year.
Step 1: Starting July 31st, parents/guardians complete required registration forms on FOCUS, the district’s information system for teachers and parents.
Once completed, your student’s class schedule will be made available on FOCUS.
A. Log in to Parent Portal (Parent Portal login page)
- If you had a Parent Portal account, then your login remains the same.
- Forgot your password? Reset your Parent Portal password.
- Need to create an account? Read Parent Portal account setup instructions.
B. Once logged in, follow the online registration steps to complete the new school year registration forms.
Updating your contact information at the start of each school year is crucial to ensure that you receive timely communications from Bonneville Junior High. Please expect to receive important news and updates via email, voice calls, and/or text messages.
For further assistance in using FOCUS to complete the online registration, view guided registration steps.
Step 2: Back to School Night on Monday, August 10th, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
This is an open-house type format where you can tour the school to find your classes, meet some of your teachers, and be better prepared for the first day of school.
If you are unable to join us for our Back to School Night, or if you would like more time to walk the halls and ask questions, our doors will be open on Tuesday, August 11th, from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. Teachers will be hard at work preparing for the first day of school, but our student leadership team will be available and ready to help however they can!
Step 3: First Day of School for All Grades
Wednesday, August 12th – 1st Period starts promptly at 7:45 AM
School breakfast is available in our cafeteria starting at 7:15 each morning.
All students will enter the building through the courtyard doors by the cafeteria. You are able to mingle, grab a bite to eat, or hang out with your administrators until the main building opens at 7:37 AM.
We will have a printout of every student’s schedule available for pick up in the courtyard on the morning of the first day of school. Staff members will be available to help navigate the building.

Fees for School
Fee Amounts and Spend Plans – All fees listed on this schedule are the maximum amounts approved by the Board of Education that a school may charge per pupil for participation in the named course, program or activity. Planned expenditures vary by program and school due to the unique needs and specific plans made at each school. Prior to registration, the fee amounts and associated spend plans approved by the principal for each program at each school are published online at schoolfees.graniteschools.org. Parents may refer to their school’s fee schedule for detailed fee and spend plan information. For school activities that involve tryouts, participants must be selected before fees are assessed. All fees are subject to fee waiver (fee waiver application is part of the new school year registration forms in Parent FOCUS).
