Dear Robert Frost Elementary Parents and Students,
I hope you are enjoying your summertime activities with your family and friends. I know we are all anxious to know what school will look like in August. We are busy planning and preparing students and teachers to come back to school, and we are so excited to have everyone return. As you are all aware, this continues to be a fluid situation; however, we are fairly confident that we will start the year inviting all students to be in the building, and we plan to stay that way most of the year. We are busy planning and preparing for students and teachers to come back to school, and we are so excited to have everyone return.
We recognize that there are many concerns about the safety of your children upon returning to school. We follow guidelines from the Utah Health Department, Utah State Board of Education, and Granite School District and will make modifications to the schedule under their guidance. As more information becomes available, we will share that news with you. We are currently working on safety measures such as social distancing, masks, extra cleaning, etc. to keep our students and faculty safe. We are committed to keeping everyone at Robert Frost, safe and healthy.
I realize that some students and families may not feel comfortable returning to school, which is understandable. We will continue to offer a distance learning option for all students. Each student will be assigned a teacher regardless of whether the kids attend school or participate in distance learning. In this way, the teacher and class will remain consistent with direct instruction, assignments, assistance, assessments, and other feedback will be uninterrupted regardless of the modality chosen for instruction. We are committed to being as open and transparent during these times. We will continue to provide you with updated information on what is happening and what to expect as we kick off another great year at Robert Frost Elementary.
I look forward to seeing you soon. I also posted a video message on our school Facebook and Twitter page for those who prefer that modality of communication. If you haven’t done so already, please remember to return your Chromebooks to the school.
Please contact us if you have any questions or if I can be of help. Please follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay updated on future information.
All the best,
Brandon Moore, Principal- Robert Frost Elementary
