Q: What is Granite Peaks Adult Education?

A: Granite Peaks is an adult education program that empowers learners through GED, Adult High School, English Language, and Career Pathways programs. Classes are offered across Granite District schools, partner locations, and the Salt Lake City Metro Jail.

Q: What programs can I enroll in?

A: Granite Peaks offers:

  • English Language Acquisition (ELA)
  • GED Diploma
  • Credit Diploma
  • Adult Basic Education
  • Career Pathways

Q: How do I get started?

A: Fill out and submit the Student Online Intake form.

Within 48 business hours, our friendly office staff will call you to discuss class placement, testing, and next steps.

👉 One form works for all classes no need to fill out separate applications!

Q: What documents do I need to register?

A: Depending on your situation, please bring:

  • Proof of Utah Residency (Utah ID, Driver’s License, or mail with your name and Utah address)
  • Photo ID (any government-issued ID with your photo)
  • Social Security Number, Alien ID, or Driving Privilege Card
  • High School Exemption Form (if your high school class hasn’t graduated yet)
  • Refugee Documentation (e.g., I-94 or letter from DWS)
  • DWS Referral Form (if referred by DWS)

📚 English classes are offered year-round, with levels 1–6 available in person and select levels online (including summer).

Q: How much does it cost to attend?

A: Tuition is $25 per class plus a $10 one-time registration fee.

👉 The registration fee is waived if you bring the required documents listed above.

Q: How can I register for classes?

A: Once your Student Intake Application has been processed, you may complete registration either in person or by phone.
