School buildings closed for today

March 18, 2020

All Granite School buildings will be completely closed today due to the earthquake. It is anticipated that food and Chromeboook distribution services will resume as normal tomorrow.

School Dismissal March 16-27th

March 16, 2020

School has been dismissed from March 16-March 27th. We are committed to keeping your students safe and to disrupt their education as little as possible. Here is some important information:

COMING TO THE BUILDING:

-All access to the building will be through the west side of the building.

-Retrieving student items from the building: The building will be open from 7:30am-3:30pm Mon-Wed, March 16-18 to retrieve items. Students will be asked to spend as little time in the school as possible.

–Turning in hard copy assignments: Students can drop hard copy assignments off to teachers at the building.

–Breakfast and Lunch:   Breakfast will be served from 8am-9am and lunch from 11:30am-1pm. All food will be “Grab and Go” which means students will come in the west side doors, get their food, give their number to the lunch worker, and exit the building. Students cannot eat in the building.

DISTANT LEARNING:

–Chromebook Check-Out Procedure: Chromebooks will be made available Wednesday morning to those students who do not have the technology necessary to complete school work at home. More details to come on that.

–Free Internet Access: Comcast is offering 2 months of free internet access to families who qualify. https://corporate.comcast.com/covid-19

Access Online Learning through CANVAS: All teachers will be giving assignments through Canvas. Students can access this through the Granite School District Portal.
