Title: TIPS TO BUILD YOUR CHILD’S RESILIENCE

Don’t Do It For Them: Have them to try to do things for themselves first. If they can’t do it, say something like, “I won’t do it for you, but tell me how I can help.”

Let Them Make Mistakes: We want them to know it’s okay to do it wrong and make mistakes. Try saying, “Even I make mistakes sometimes,” or “Let’s look at what we can learn from this.”

Build Their Confidence: Focus on what’s going well, even if it’s a just bit of progress. Try saying, “I see you get better at that each time you do it,” or “Look at how well you did that!”

Be There for Them No Matter What: Let them know you are on their team no matter what. Try saying, “I love you whether you win or lose,” or “I am proud of you for trying your best.”
